SEND Support
For children & young people identified as having special educational needs (SEND), either at SEN Support or with an Education, Health & Care Plan, we offer support to address the following areas of need, defined in the SEND Code of Practice, (2015).
- Communication & interaction skills
- Cognition & learning
- Social, emotional & mental health difficulties
This support can take place on the school site, at the child’s home, where attendance is problematic or not possible due to health or other reasons, or in designated tuition centres. (See below for more information about where we deliver support).
For children & young people identified as having special educational needs at SEN Support, we offer a range of services to support schools, the child, and the family, to support early intervention and to prevent escalation of needs. We strive to ensure regular communication with schools, families, and other support services, working always in partnership to achieve the best outcomes for the child or young person.
