Preparation for Adulthood
For young people, aged 12 – 16 years, we offer a range of tailored or targeted support to complement existing work by schools or other settings in Preparing for Adulthood.
We provide:
- Independent travel training
- Staying safe in the community
- Staying safe online
- Transitions into semi-independent living accommodation
- Developing healthy lifestyles through a focus on fitness, diet, and exercise
- Developing self-confidence and raising self-esteem
- Emotional regulation and anger management
- Building positive social relationships and friendships
We also offer a mentoring and support service to allow young people aged between 14-17 with SEND or SEMH to access work experience placements. Parents, local authority professionals and schools can source appropriate work experience placements and Paul Lavery Support can supply experienced mentors to guide and support them through gaining valuable life skills the help them become more work ready as well as still receiving the same opportunities that their mainstream counterparts have access to.
