Children’s Services
Many of the children & young people we work with are those under the care of the local authority. This continues to be an area of work that is constantly evolving, as we respond to urgent calls for support and interventions for looked after children. Many of these calls from social care services come in late in the day, as plans for a child or young person’s care and education are finalised.
Working in partnership with a range of social care services, we aim to provide timely responses to crisis-driven requests for support. Within Hertfordshire Council’s graduated response for children with a social worker, our services come under Targeted and Tailored support.
We work very closely with the brokerage accommodation teams to find solutions to planned and emergency situations.

We support young people and their families in many ways:
- Domestic violence cases
- Child protection cases
- Emergency out of hours support
- Welfare checks
- Family contact and supervision sessions
- Planned mentoring and support services
- Placement breakdown prevention
- Residential care home support
